Doris Roberts (Mildred Krebs).
Mildred Krebs was the receptionist for the Remington Steele Detective Agency in the series Remington Steele, in which Doris Roberts acted out the role.
Mildred took over for Murphy Michaels and Bernice Fox after they left the agency. (Murphy organised his own agency, and Bernice was, supposedly, married.) When introduced in the 2nd season, she was an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) agent auditing the mysterious impostor for Remington Steele. She became their receptionist shortly after tailing Remington to Acapulco, where she was placed on suspension for not returning to the IRS offices...so she stayed in Acapulco to help Remington and Laura Holt, Remington's partner, solve their case. She ended up enjoying that aspect so much that, when Internal Revenue terminated her for dereliction of duty (she wrongly said that she had been "discharged" for that offence), she decided to stay with Remington Steele Investigations. (Her last act as an IRS agent was to work out an arrangement for the payment of Remington Steele's back taxes.)

Mildred was diligent and quick to complete her share of the legwork. Though she was often dragged into cases, her previous experience with the IRS made her an excellent person to perform background checks or find key information about witnesses, victims and suspects. She really enjoyed her work, and was much more happy at the agency than she had been in the IRS.
